Here is the text of a message we have received recently – concerning « the transition that all family members go through when a student leaves for university ».
FIGT: Families in Global Transition
University Transition Event on March 27th, 2012 18:45 to 20:45 at the « La Chat » Campus of
The International School of Geneva in Founex, Switzerland.
Please feel free to share the attached flyer/invitation to the upcoming FIGT Transition to University Event!
We would like to make sure that local teachers, education professionals, and especially international teens and their parents know about this event – which will cover a topic that is relevant to so many families in Switzerland and neighboring France – the transition that all family members go through when a student leaves for university – especially the graduate!
The co-chairs of FIGT Switzerland will be there, as well as a panel of experts who have gathered testimonials from many international students who have graduated and moved on to university
Dr. Michèle Lewis O’Donnell Anne-Claude Lambelet
Consulting Psychologist Director, FIGT Board of Directors
Co-chair, FIGT Switzerland Co-chair, FIGT Switzerland
I will be there as an FIGT volunteer, and also as a resource person for international families through my educational consulting company.
The entire FIGT Switzerland Volunteer Team hopes you will join us!
You can RSVP by sending an e-mail to: Switzerland@FIGT.org as soon as possible, as spaces are limited. Please let us know how many members of your family will be attending. Thank you – and perhaps I’ll see you on the 27th.
