A couple of weeks ago, we proudly announced our new partnership with the official pre-college programs of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Now, we hope to help you identify the right students for these Wharton Global Youth Programs. 

 Admission to the Wharton summer high school programs is highly selective, as the curricula offer a rigorous business education, with a full-day (9:00am to 5:00pm) of academic instruction.

A student’s academic standing is very important and will provide a baseline for admissions.  However, the Wharton admissions committee is taking a holistic approach, looking for students who present the most compelling case and distinguish themselves from the other applicants.

 What characteristics is Wharton looking for in applicants for the Wharton Global Youth Programs? 

• Students who are highly motivated and serious about their academics.
• Strong academic coursework with demonstrated academic excellence (most students will have a minimum unweighted GPA in the mid- to high- threes) and strong standardized test scores.
• International students need to be fluent in English, (with a TOEFL score of 100 or IELTS of 7) to understand course content, interact with the faculty and students, and prepare clear and detailed written assignments.
• Leadership experiences in extra-curricular activities and clubs, and the ability to work collaboratively in teams with like-minded peers.
