Competitions run by Oxford colleges in science and French film –

Corpus Christi College annual science competition
This competition is open to students who intend to apply to university later this year, or next year. A top prize of £250 will be available in two categories – Biochemistry and Chemistry – with the possibility of smaller prizes for second place and entries judged highly commended. All prize winners will be invited to Corpus Christi on our Open Day on Thursday 28 June to receive their prizes, have lunch, and receive a tour of the University science facilities.

Calling all budding cinéastes! French film competition

Further Mathematics A-level students are invited to this free event on Thursday 19 April.

Computer Science and Philosophy taster day
The University has introduced a new undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Philosophy.

Some of the greatest thinkers of the past — from Aristotle to Turing — dreamed of automated reasoning and what this might achieve. This free taster day on Thursday 15 March will provide an opportunity for year 11 and 12 students to find out more about how computers have now made this a reality. This event is ideal for those interested in learning more about the new course and who are considering applying for a 2013 (or later) start. Bookings are open via ourwebsite.
